Medium blue is the color traditionally used by Joint Activities of the Department of Defense. The eagle and laurel wreath have been adapted from the DOD seal and highlight total military readiness as well as the multi-service nature and scope of the Joint Readiness Clinical Advisory Board's mission. A cadeusus is superimposed upon the escutcheon on the eagle's breast to symbolize the medical functions and affiliations of the organization. The scroll above the eagle's head, in our national colors, features the motto of the Joint Readiness Clinical Advisory Board, "MEDICAL READINESS."
